Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) teaching method is one of the methods recommended by the Merdeka Curriculum. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning teaching method on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test control group design. Sampling was carried out using cluster random sampling technique. The sample for this study consisted of 70 high school students. The students in the experimental group were given the application of Problem-Based Learning, while the students in the control group were given conventional teaching methods. Data collection was carried out using a mathematics learning outcomes test instrument. The validity of the test instrument and the questionnaire was assessed by experts. Data analysis was performed using an independent t-test. The results of the study indicate that PBL plays a significant role in students' mathematics learning outcomes.
